Coaching is provided at Westfields by GSM, the most successful coaching operation in Leicestershire.

 

Meet Geri Szabo, the Westfields Coach

“I started playing tennis at the age of 6 and, as a junior, played at national and international level, representing Hungary in several ITF tournaments. At the age of 16, I started to play professionally, travelled a lot and competed several ITF, Future and a few ATP tournaments.

I have lived in the UK since 2007 and was previously the adult programme coordinator at CNW Tennis Club in Coventry. My goal is to help players achieve their goals while having fun every second on the tennis court.

I’ll do my best to help the club with everything and make the club better and stronger with my coaching and playing experience.

Junior coaching

Coaching sessions are held on a Saturday morning 9 – 1.30pm, aimed at different age groups and abilities.

  • Mini Reds (5 – 8yrs)
  • Mini Orange (7 – 10yrs)
  • Mini Green (9 – 11yrs)
  • Junior Tennis

Individual or small group coaching can be arranged with GSM in addition to the regular timetabled sessions.

The coaching fee includes the £2 per month Westfields Junior Coaching Membership. (Note that from the age of 12 a top up fee is required.) This can be upgraded to Junior Club Membership at anytime to allow play beyond the coaching sessions (see Membership form for more details).
