Open-Day-Apr-2025

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Westfields Tennis Club. Whether you’re already a member with us, representing another club, or a new player looking to see if Westfields is the right place for you or your children, we hope that this website will provide you with all the information you need and offer a comprehensive overview of our club. If you have any comments or questions which aren’t answered on the site then please feel free to get in touch with a member of our committee – we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Group coaching sessions are being held at a reasonable cost for doubles tactics on Tuesday evenings and for improving different strokes on Wednesday evenings. If you have any questions, contact Westfields’ coach Geri on 07827 221001.

The club is holding an Open Day on Saturday 5th April 2025. Free coaching sessions will be available between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. The courts will be open for potential members to try their hand on the courts from 10:00 am. Rackets and balls can be provided, though tennis shoes or trainers must be worn. Refreshments and soft drinks will be served. If that’s not enough, we are also offering 10% discount on full adult and family membership if joining on the day.

About the Club

Westfields Tennis Club is located near Western Park, around a mile from Leicester city centre and is the only tennis club on the west side of the city. The club is tucked away in the quiet Eastfield Road cul-de-sac just off the A47 (Hinckley Road) and is signposted across from Dovelands Primary School.

The Club has four courts, all re-laid in 2019 with artificial grass, three of which have floodlights. It has a clubhouse with a small kitchen, toilets, changing rooms and showers, and outside there is a car park providing free off-road parking. We also have full wheelchair access.

We have regular club play sessions to which all members are invited, numerous teams in local leagues plus coaching opportunities for both juniors and adults of all standards. Members can also book a court and arrange their own play whenever they want.
